According to the report, rain is expected in Upper Sindh including Sukkur on June 16, while wind and thunderstorms are also expected in Karachi on the same day. The Meteorological Department has also given a date for the regular start of the monsoon season in the country.
In this regard, the Meteorological Department in its report predicting monsoon rains from the last week of June said that the first monsoon spell is expected from June 27 to June 30 and this year also there is a possibility of above-normal rainfall. It has been reported that more than normal monsoon is expected in Karachi while more monsoon rains are expected in the northern parts of Punjab.
It is to be noted that most parts of the country have been in the grip of scorching heat since the beginning of June, the hottest month of the year. However, the intensity of heat has decreased due to rains in different parts of the country during the last two days. In the coming days, the temperature will drop further due to rains in the country.
